It is difficult to believe as we sit out the depths of winter that in just 4 months we will have finished the Chelsea Flower Show 2019!
Although we are still in the middle of winter, planning for Chelsea 2019 is already very advanced. Chelsea is a large project with many moving pieces and planning starts almost immediately the previous Chelsea Flower Show has finished.
If you are lucky enough to be selected to exhibit at Chelsea the detailed planning starts shortly after confirmation of your selection. We were super excited to be selected for Chelsea 2019 and are on target to deliver a stand of exceptional quality and with a strong horticultural content.
First decisions are often the most important and we are super pleased to have assembled an outstanding team to design and build the Oxenwood stand. We are very fortunate to have great build, garden design and nursery teams all of whom are providing invaluable input and advice.
We are also very excited to have as part of our team a designer who has designed backdrops for many of the leading fashion houses including Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabana; so expect something different on the Oxenwood stand at Chelsea in 2019!
Naturally our furniture will have centre place on the Oxenwood stand and we are already preparing the pieces with a few new items making their debuts at Chelsea, however, our longstanding and most popular pieces will all be on display as you would expect.
We will also being displaying some of our new accessories which will be launched early in the Spring; these will include our bespoke 100% waterproof cushions and covers, our unbreakable glasses and our hurricane lamps. We only sell accessories which we believe match the quality and ethos of our furniture and which we would happily have in our own home. In fact, we use all of our accessories in our home!
We are super excited about the Chelsea Flower Show this year and all the work and planning that goes into the Oxenwood stand, although challenging, is also fun; that’s part of the reason we do it! I am sure there will be challenges ahead, particularly when we get on site to build the stand at Chelsea but we are confident that with our great team we will deliver a stand of exceptional quality and a strong horticultural content.
